Scotia Community Food Bank is Nigeria’s independent and rapidly growing food bank, dedicated to fighting hunger and supporting our community. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a passion-driven and customer-centric professional to join our dynamic team.
Location: Hybrid (2 days on-site in Ipaja, 3 days work from home)
Shift and Schedule: Monday – Friday (9:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
Your Future Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations of Scotia Community Support Initiatives, the successful candidate will:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the collection, recording, and depositing of all donations.
- Send thank-you notes to donors, fostering strong relationships.
- Respond to phone calls and messages promptly and professionally.
- Ensure the maintenance and confidentiality of client files.
- Manage office and warehouse supplies, placing orders as needed.
- Direct and supervise all communications (verbal, written, and e-mailed) with volunteers, donors, and suppliers.
- Monitor food prices and source reliable food vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinate the training and supervision of volunteers.
- Train and oversee Assistant Administrators.
- Provide policy recommendations to the Board of Directors.
- Coordinate food distribution process, including scheduling and volunteer coordination.
- Ensure clients are served with dignity and respect.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions with Executive Directors and the Board to enhance food distribution methods.
- Draft policies and reports.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping.
- Organize and coordinate community food drives.
- Manage the placement of donation barrels in businesses.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance, fuel, and insurance for trucks and vans.
- Ensure building and property security.
- Select and coordinate volunteers for food distribution.
- Conduct daily checks for recalled food items.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
